Turn Granola meetings into training

Capture useful explanations from a meeting and turn them into reusable onboarding or practice. Choose meeting notes for a concise summary, a transcript for the original conversation, or both when you need the summary and detail together.

Connect Granola

  1. Open Knowledge Base → Add an integration.
  2. In Content sources, find Granola and choose Connect.
  3. Enter the Granola API key in API key, then choose Connect.
  4. Confirm that Granola is connected before returning to the Knowledge Base.

Granola uses a shared workspace connection managed by someone with integration-management permission. The source account determines which meeting folders and notes can be read.

Select the meetings and their content

  1. Open the destination folder's add menu and choose Add from Granola.
  2. Browse a folder or use Search Granola… to filter the loaded meetings.
  3. Under Include, choose Notes, Transcript, or Both.
  4. Select meeting checkboxes for specific conversations. Select a folder checkbox when you want its meeting collection to remain linked.
  5. Review the selected count and choose Add selected.
  6. Wait for processing, then read the resulting document. Check decisions, speaker meaning, product terminology, and any action items you intend to teach.

Use Load more when the picker offers more meetings. A summary and a transcript serve different purposes: review the transcript when the exact explanation matters, and use the notes to identify the main themes.

Create a course from the meeting

  1. On Create, choose Attach → Add from knowledge base, select the imported meeting documents, and choose Add selected.
  2. Wait for the ready indicators, then explain which parts should become learning material. For example: “Use this product handoff to teach new support teammates the three approved troubleshooting steps. Turn the discussion into a concise explanation and a practice scenario.”
  3. Answer the setup questions about audience, level, structure, and size.
  4. Review the outline. Replace meeting-specific follow-ups with reusable learning goals, then choose Approve & Build.
  5. Open Review & edit. Check the facts against the meeting and approved product documentation, then try the practice activity in Preview.

If Granola is already connected, Create → Attach → Add from Granola can import selected meetings directly as course materials. Choose the content mode and Add selected in that picker. Use the Knowledge Base route when the meetings should also form a shared reference collection.

Keep useful meeting knowledge current

On a linked Granola item, use the content-mode control to switch between Notes, Transcript, and Both when your teaching needs change. Refresh the linked item and review the new body. Folder changes are reflected as the folder syncs.

If the document is already attached to a course, use Refresh from KB in Materials, then revise and preview the affected activities. See Build and maintain source-backed learning.
